“We are all sum of parts that make a whole”

Each player contributes in a unique way to the team as a whole. Comparison is the thief of joy. Let us not compare ourselves with each other’s talents but own our own talent. As coaches with experience and talent ourselves- we affirm the unique talents of each player and play off strengths while challenging their shortcomings. “Things can always improve, we can always get better”- fights perfectionism because it is the “growth mentality.” This limits the false beliefs of never feeling good enough. Because there is never an end to learning. This makes players coachable and receptive.
